It was announced on Thursday afternoon by Scott Schrader of On3 that two of the top defensive line recruits will visit USC football’s spring game on Friday, April 20th. This is further evidence that new Trojans defensive line coach, Eric Henderson really does want all the smoke of recruiting.

Henderson has had early success in his recruiting efforts, including landing 5-star 2025 DT, Justus Terry, who flipped his commitment from Georgia to USC.

USC Football To Host #1 Player in 2026 Recruiting Class

5-Star Jahkeem Stewart from New Orleans, LA is the top recruit in the 2026 class regardless of position. He has received 26 scholarship offers from the top programs in college football including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Oregon, and Oklahoma. On3 gives his home state school LSU the best chance of landing him. Stewart met with USC football in April of 2023 and two times since then.

4-Star Bryce Perry Wright from Buford Georgia is the 19th ranked defensive lineman in the nation. He has received 27 scholarship offers from schools including Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, Texas, and LSU with Alabama being On3’s favored destination. This will be Perry-Wright’s first visit with USC.

Jahkeem Stewart, DL, 6’6″ 270 lbs

“Just building a bigger relationship with coach [Eric Henderson] and the whole staff,” Stewart told On3. “What they got going on. I feel it’s it’s important. And it amazes me that they’re really looking forward to recruiting me and to me leading the defense. So it’s really a great school to be at.”

“Coach Henny being from New Orleans, we already have that bond. He’s a great man, a great coach
and he’s got a great character. I just listen to coach Henny and gain knowledge. It means a lot to me that he’s recruited me more, just because I’m from the boot. So I’ll just keep going back to show I’m not scared to leave home.”

Bryce Perry-Wright, DL, 6’3″ 255 lbs

Perry-Wright racked up 51 tackles, nine for loss, 7.5 sacks, and 13 hurries in 13 games.

He has a close relationship with Julian Lewis, QB, USC Football’s 2025 commit. They met in 8th grade while playing in the Under Armour Game.

“I talk to JuJu [Julian Lewis] often,” said Stewart. “He says USC is a great school and he wants me there to lead the defense, and he’ll lead the offense. We started talking at the 8th grade All American game. That that’s when we really started to bond. So me and BPW and JuJu. We all have that bond ever since that game, and we just kept getting closer and closer to each other.”
