We are just over the halfway point of the USC Trojans‘ fall camp. The season kicks off in two weeks, and the depth chart is beginning to come into focus.
Here is my best guess at the offensive depth chart at this point. I will release my defensive depth chart as well.
I will do another final depth chart installment at the end of camp, before the team releases the official one.

USC Trojans Offensive Depth Chart Prediction
Quarterback
- Jayden Maiava
- Jonas Williams
- Sam Huard
No surprises here. Sam Huard could absolutely get some situational work this season, but Williams is the future of the USC Trojans program, and he has absolutely looked the part through the Spring and now halfway through the Fall.
Running Back
- Waymond Jordan and/or King Miller
- Riley Wormley
- Deshonne Redeaux OR Shahn Alston
Jordan and Miller should get close to equal carries, but Riley will likely ride the hot hand in certain situations. Wormley feels like the true RB3 and should have some built-in packages on passing downs.

Redeaux and Alston are developing nicely and will be fun to watch in the opening games. Alston has so much power, and Redeaux’s speed and play-making ability make you go WOW.
Wide Receiver
X-Receiver
- Terrell Anderson
- Corey Simms
- Boobie Feaster
Z-Receiver
- Kayden Dixon-Wyatt
- Tanook Hines
- Tron Baker
Slot Receiver
- Trent Mosley
- Zacharyus Williams
Receiver might be one of the toughest positions to project for the USC Trojans just because we could see so many guys play in the first few weeks until the rotation is set going into the Big Ten play.
The only change I have from the Spring is Kayden Dixon-Wyatt starting over Tanook Hines. This is simply due to the fact that Hines missed all of Spring and still hasn’t gotten back on the field yet in the Fall. He is close and should get close to a full week in before the season kicks off, but it is undeniable how good Kayden Dixon-Wyatt has been. For now, I have him overtaking Hines as the “starter.”

Also, don’t sleep on Corey Simms. He has had a great fall camp and could see his snap share increase. He has a great body size and has improved his route running and catch consistency.
Boobie Feaster is going to be a star and is picking things up quickly. He wasn’t with the team in the Spring, so he started a bit behind. He should climb the depth chart quickly.
USC Trojans Tight End
- Mark Bowman and/or Tucker Ashcraft
- Nela Tupou
We will see all three tight ends (and potentially more) play this season for the USC Trojans. Bowman is going to be a star, and Ashcraft has been a pleasant surprise since transferring in.
Left Tackle
- Elijah Paige
- Aaron Dunn
No surprise here with Paige starting. He will be one of the top tackles in the Conference as long as he stays healthy. Dunn has quietly gained the confidence of Coach Hanson.
Vlad Dyakonov continues to develop for the USC Trojans. He is actually a sleeper of mine to contend to be an All-American later in his career, but there is no rush.
Left Guard
- Hayden Treter
- Breck Kolojay
I love how Treter has developed since getting fully healthy. He was my pick to start in the spring, and I don’t feel the need to change that here.
Breck Kolojay is going to be a top offensive lineman in the Country, and could unseat someone on this offensive line early in the season; that is how good he already is. I would have him as my next guy up in the interior, regardless of side. If anyone (knock on wood) goes down, Kolojay will be the first to step in.
Center
- Tobias Raymond
- Willi Wascher
This was inevitable with the loss of Kilian O’Connor, but if you remember from my Spring projection, I had Raymond starting here regardless, as I think it is his best position and what he will ultimately play in the NFL.
Willi Wascher has done a really nice job through camp and provides tremendous depth.
Right Guard
- Alani Noa
- Kaylon Miller
There were a lot of questions regarding Noa at the end of last season, but he quietly answered those. He has the trust of his coaches and teammates, and Coach Hanson has called him the most talented player that he has coached.
Everyone loves Kaylon Miller, and he now weighs over 300 pounds. His presence makes the team better.
Right Tackle
- Justin Tauanuu
- Elijah Vaikona
This is still my most heated battle. Since coming back from injury, Tauanuu has fought off Vaikona and looks like he has held onto his starting job. Vaikona is the 3rd best tackle on the team right now, in my opinion, and would swing to either side if needed.
The sky is the limit for Keenyi Pepe, and he will be the starter on either side soon enough, but there is no rush as he continues to work on his technique. The size is there in spades already.
