After a roller coaster recruiting cycle, we are days away from the early signing period and the USC Trojans are looking to close strong.
5-star WR Jerome Myles just de-commited yesterday, but Trojans fans can perhaps find solace in the latest trending recruits on the defensive side of the ball.
Both 247 Sports and On3 have put in Crystal Balls for the Trojans to earn the commitment of local 4-star LB Madden Faraimo.
Can Madden Faraimo Become Next Great USC Trojans Linebacker?
Per On3, Faraimo is the 4th-ranked linebacker in the entire 2025 class, and the 77th-ranked player overall. This would be a huge get for the Trojans as it would solidify their linebacker room for years to come, and would also build the trend of keeping Southern California kids home.
If Faraimo does commit, he would join 4-star Jadon Perlotte and 4-star (7th-ranked LB) Matai Tagoa’i as the 3rd linebacker in the USC’s 2025 Class.
Faraimo has been heavily favored to commit to Notre Dame for most of the recruiting cycle, but after Ty Jackson flipped his commitment from USC to Florida, the Trojans ramped up their pursuit of Faraimo.
He has visited the USC campus plenty of times, but finally took an official visit last weekend, ironically when the Men of Troy played Notre Dame.

It is not a done deal, but when all the major recruiting insiders put in a prediction in agreement, it certainly looks favorable.
If this does indeed happen, USC would have the three linebackers listed above, and also Desman Stephens II, Elijah Newby, and Jadyn Walker from the 2024 class (plus veterans Raesjon Davis and Eric Gentry).
When you look at the young talent, it makes you start to think, is there potential for someone to finally get the honored 55?
The 55 Club is one of the most storied and respected clubs in College Football. Greats such as Junior Seau, Chris Claiborne, Willie McGinest, and Keith Rivers all put their stamp wearing the 55. The last Trojan to don the 55 was Lamar Dawson in 2014.
It has been a decade since the 55 has graced the Coliseum. Could Madden Faraimo be the next if he commits?
