5-Star DL Makes Surprising Decision Ahead Of Early Signing Day, Will It Benefit USC Trojans?

One of the prized recruits of the 2025 class is 5-star DL Jahkeem Stewart and the USC Trojans have been in hot pursuit.

After a fantastic official visit two weeks ago when the Trojans played Nebraska at the Coliseum, every major recruiting outlet put in a prediction for Stewart to commit to USC during the early signing period.

However, Stewart had a visit to Michigan last weekend and was scheduled to finish the recruiting cycle by visiting his home school of LSU this weekend.

After talks that he would not take any final visits, there were then multiple reports of Stewart committing to attend LSU’s game against Oklahoma today.

That now appears to not be true.

According to the coaching clinic that Stewart is a part of, EDGE Assassins, he remained at home and did not visit LSU.

With him remaining uncommitted, these final visits could play a huge role in swaying his decision, so it pays dividends for the Trojans that he did not decide to take one.

Coach Henderson, who is from Louisiana (Stewart’s home state) and attended Edna Karr (the school Stewart is enrolled at) has been heavily recruiting Steward since he was hired by USC.

As we have reported over the last two weeks, Stewarts official visit to SC went extremely well and firmly put the Trojans in the driver’s seat.

With LSU, Michigan, and Oregon all lurking, will Lincoln Riley and USC be able to close the deal?

Early signing day is on December 4th and we should get our answer then.
