We are officially in flip season when it comes to recruiting and the USC Trojans have been able to flip some recruits while losing others. However, there is one elite defensive prospect who has remained uncommitted and just recently had a very successful visit to USC.
5-star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart visited USC last weekend during the Nebraska game and had what was described as a very successful visit as the Trojans “knocked it out of the park.”
Stewart not only had a great visit to campus and game day experience at the Coli but also got to witness all that Los Angeles has to offer.
Per Scott Schrader of On3.com:
“Over the weekend Stewart, his family, and Alexander met with people from Marvel Studios, they visited the FOX Sports studios when Michael Strahan and the guys were doing their show, they dined at Nobu in Malibu on Friday night and met prominent USC people involved in real estate development.”
That definitely got the ball rolling and gave USC the upper hand, but did it seal the deal?
National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman of Rivals.com just put in a prediction that the USC Trojans would indeed land Jahkeem Stewart on Signing Day.
USC Trojans Predicted To Land Jahkeem Stewart
This is a huge development for the Trojans 2025 recruiting class and would be one of the biggest commitments of the entire cycle.
The links between Stewart and USC Co-Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach Eric Henderson are strong. Both are from Louisana, and Coach Henny went to Edna Karr High School, the same school that Stewart transferred to this season. Henderson also has a strong relationship with Clyde Alexander who has been coaching Stewart through his Edge Assassins clinic.

Stewart was originally part of the 2026 class before reclassifying just recently to the 2025 class. Even in his youth, and after missing his final high school season due to transferring, he is the 3rd-ranked defensive lineman in the entire class, according to On3.
Currently, the Trojans only have two defensive linemen committed in the 2025 class, 3-star Floyd Boucard, and 3-star Cash Jacobsen. Stewart would obviously bring a massive boost to this position group, a group that USC desperately needs some blue-chippers.
While this prediction is certainly promising, Stewart had a strong visit to Michigan last weekend (who just recently got a nice influx of money to their NIL collective), and has his final visit of the cycle to Oregon next weekend. We know that the Ducks and Dan Lanning will pull out all the stops and essentially have a blank check.
Stewart’s in-house school of LSU is very much in play as well and staying home always has pull with recruits, as the Trojans have learned through the process with all of the Georgia and Florida prospects that committed only to end up flipping to the home state school.
We are just over one week till signing day and we are in store for one of the wildest endings to this recruiting cycle that I can remember.
