During last week’s Los Angeles Chargers victory over the Carolina Panthers QB Justin Herbert got a little banged up, but he finished the game. Of course he did, he is a warrior.
But there was some concern after the game that after the adrenaline came down, perhaps there could be a real concern or something that could limit Herbert throughout the week.
Head Coach Jim Harbaugh updated beat reporters today that Herbert will be listed with an ankle injury on the practice/injury report, but noted that it does not appear to be a major issue.

Daniel Popper of The Athletic did note that he did not spot Herbert at the start of practice.
The ankle injury does not appear to be anything major, but one small concerning piece is that it is on the same foot that Herbert dealt with plantar fascia that kept him out all of training camp.
If something does flair up and Herbert is unable to go against the Pittsburgh Steelers, backup QB Easton Stick would be in line to start.
