The USC Trojans kick-off against the Michigan Wolverines in just a few hours. This is one of the most highly anticipated USC games in quite some time, and if they are able to leave Ann Arbor 3-0, there is a real conversation to be had that they can go on a real run this season.
Aside from the game at hand, the Trojans and Lincoln Riley have a massive opportunity in recruiting and continuing to build for the future. They will have an opportunity to gain some top commitments directly from Michigan.
The Wolverines have a huge recruiting weekend going on right now with a lot of top prospects visiting campus and attending the game. Obviously, they are in attendance for Michigan and to see the game-day experience, but if USC can ball out on the field, they will certainly leave a valuable impression.

Among the 2025 recruits are 4-star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng and 4-star CB Alex Graham.

Owusu-Boateng is one of the top remaining linebackers in the 2025 class. According to On3’s recruiting predictor, Notre Dame is the clubhouse leader, but USC and Michigan have an equal 8.7% chance of earning a commitment.
Today’s game is a massive opportunity for USC LB Coach Matt Entz to show just how good he is at developing elite LBs. I expect a big game from Mascarenas-Arnold, Gentry, and Co., especially with the heavy run game that Michigan will certainly deploy.
Graham is an elite corner who is currently committed to Colorado, but taking a game-day visit this late in the game demonstrates that he is definitely still looking at all of his options.
Michigan and USC football are 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in On3’s recruiting predictor, so there is definitely an opportunity for Doug Belk and the secondary to cook.
All eyes will be on the field as these two historic programs go to battle, but there is absolutely an opportunity for the Trojans to make even more noise on the recruiting trail.
