After suggesting that USC should be considered “WRU” on his podcast, St. Brown Podcast, back in February, Amon-Ra St. Brown, former Trojan, continues to build his case with another All-Pro caliber season.
The fourth-year receiver out of Southern California has entered the league with a chip on his shoulder and has not slowed down since being the 17th wide receiver to be drafted in his 2021 class.
On Sunday, St. Brown set a Detroit Lions franchise record for most consecutive games with a touchdown reception (eight) following his 11 catches, 161 yards, and two touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Additionally, St. Brown’s eight-game single-season receiving touchdown streak is now tied for the third-longest since 1970, and tied for the second-longest since 2000.
Former USC Trojans WR Continues Building Legacy
The 25-year-old’s historic day didn’t end there as he became the fourth Lions receiver to have his 18th 100-yard receiving game and is now tied with Jonnie Morton for the third-most in franchise history.
St. Brown also currently holds the 10th-most career receiving yards (4,273) as a Lion and will look to catch Calvin Johnson’s 11,619 yards before it’s all said and done.

Pending Monday Night Football, the 25-year-old receiver ranks fourth in receptions (65), 11th in yards (685 yards), second in receiving touchdowns (nine) and first downs (44).
Nonetheless, the USC Trojans product has emerged as one of the best receivers in one of the best offenses in all of football. If St. Brown remains his trajectory, he will join the conversations of Keyshawn Johnson and Lynn Swann as one of the best receivers to come out of SC.
Moreover, if his numbers and impact continue to grow, St. Brown can be the second wide receiver of 15 USC players inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
