Carrolton High School quarterback Julian Lewis, rated as one of the best players in the 2025 recruiting class, committed to USC in August 2024. Lewis, a Georgia native, also received offers from the University of Alabama the University of Florida, Florida State University, the University of Georgia, and other top programs. However, the appeal of joining Riley’s offense pulled him to Southern Cal. On3.com is the only national recruiting service that doesn’t have a five-star evaluation on Lewis.

The USC Trojans added their first in-state commitment to the 2025 recruiting class, securing 6-foot-4 defender Matai Tagoa’i out of Sam Clemente High School. Listed as a linebacker/safety hybrid, Tagoa’i is likely to play off-ball linebacker at the next level. He picked USC over scholarship offers from elite Power 5 programs like the Texas Longhorns, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Washington Huskies.

The USC Trojans added another defensive line commitment to their 2025 recruiting class on June 9. Four-star defensive end Hayden Lowe (6-foot-4) announced he’s staying close to home, becoming the 13th commit for USC’s 2025 class. Lowe, a standout at Oaks Christian High School, was also considered the Miami Hurricanes, Oregon Ducks, and Texas Longhorns. Greg Biggins of 247 Sports notes that Lowe has significant long-term upside, with great length and athleticism that could make him a much better player with the help of college coaching and a weight room. Interestingly, he’s from the same school as recent first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux, a standout with the Oregon Ducks. Lowe’s coaches told 247 Sports they believe his upside is just as high as Thibodeaux’s.

After a slew of decommits on the defensive side of the ball, the Trojans landed a highly-coveted receiver prospect in Simms. The nearly 6’3 WR, led his state-title winning team in 2023 to the tune of 79 receptions, 1,049 yards, and 12 touchdowns. Aside from playing for Lincoln Riley, Simms attributed the commitment of QB Julian Lewis as part of the reason for him choosing USC.

The USC Trojans land their 3rd WR in the 2025 class in Tanook Hines. At 6’1, 185 pounds, Hines is the prototypical size for a WR in a Lincoln Riley offense. He is a very twitchy runner with great route-running ability and blazing speed. He demonstrates tremendous talent on tap that will certainly excite fans at the Coliseum.

On April 6, USC picked up another out-of-state commitment for the 2025 recruiting class. Harry Dalton III, an athlete out of Virginia, is rated as a four-star recruit by On3.com and ESPN, while receiving three-star grades from Rivals.com and 247 Sports. Despite offers from programs like Alabama and Tennessee, Dalton waited to commit until the Trojans offered him. Just two months after USC made him a scholarship offer, he became the latest commitment to the Trojans’ 2025 class.

Lake Travis High School defensive end Gus Cardova might prove to be one of the hidden gems of the 2025 recruiting class. Ranked as a three-star recruit by ESPN, On3, and Rivals.com, the 6-foot-5 edge rusher boasts 40 scholarship offers, per 247 Sports, including from multiple SEC programs (Tennessee, Texas, LSU) and some of the Trojans’ Big Ten competition (Michigan, Oregon, and Washington).

The USC Trojans picked up their first running back commitment of the 2025 recruiting class. Riley Wormley, a 5-foot-9 back out of Texas, committed to USC on March 31. Rated as the 39th-best running back in the class, Wormley averaged 10.6 yards per carry in his junior season and recorded 19 touchdowns in 10 games. He also turned 9 receptions into 123 receiving yards. Wormley also had offers from Oklahoma State, Arkansas, TCU, Baylor, and Arizona State, per 247 Sports.

In the span of 24 hours, the USC Trojans football commits 2025 added a pair of in-state talents. Upland High School cornerback Trestin Castro became the latest commit. Offered by the likes of the Washington Huskies, Utah Utes, and Minnesota Gophers, Castro chose to stay close to home. On3.com and 247 Sports both see him as one of the best defensive backs in California, while ESPN and Rivals share consensus four-star evaluations of him.

Romero Ison is another top-shelf athlete who is part of the USC Trojans 2025 recruiting class. Ison committed to USC over the Penn State Nittany Lions. Standing at 5–foot-11 Ison is a two-sport athlete who also excels in track at Baltimore City College. He chose the Trojans over offers from Florida, Indiana, Kentucky and Virginia Tech. Last season, he had a 99-yard receiving touchdown and averaged over 140 scrimmage yards per game in 13 contests.

Standing at 5-foot-10, Morris offers enticing athleticism for the position.

The USC Trojans picked up a verbal commitment from interior offensive lineman Willie Wascher in April The 6-foot-3 and 290-pound lineman out of Bellevue, Washington had scholarship offers from the Miami Hurricanes and Nevada Wolfpack, while also drawing some interest from the Oregon Ducks. Wascher is the only offensive line recruit among the Trojans’ 2025 commits. Notably, Rivals evaluates Wascher as an offensive guard prospect while ESPN projects him as a center at the collegiate level. If he holds to his USC commitment, he could be tried out at both spots.

Shamar Arnoux, a classmate of five-star QB USC commit Julian Lewis, committed to the USC Trojans in late July, picking SC over the Tennessee Volunteers. It took just eight days for Arnoux to decide after an official visit on June 18th, two days after the school extended an offer. The 6-foot-1 175-pounder is the second cornerback to commit from the 2025 class.
