Now that the 2025 NFL Draft is over, the Las Vegas Raiders can continue to scour the wire and decide if there are any more missing pieces to add to the roster before training camp begins in July.
The team does not have any glaring needs remaining, but you can always have more depth, and the receiving room in particular is very young.
While technically in the tight end room, Brock Bowers is the face of the receivers, while Jakobi Meyers is a very underrated wideout. The addition of Jack Bech in the draft gives Geno Smith another very solid weapon.
But what about a reunion with a veteran 5-time Pro Bowler? Amari Cooper is still available and could be a nice dimension to the Raiders’ offense.
5-Time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper Linked To Las Vegas Raiders

NFL Insider Kevin Patra listed the Raiders in his latest piece as a possible landing spot for the former first-round selection.
“I’m not concerned with how things ended for Cooper and the Raiders last time. Seven years have passed…The new era under head coach Pete Carroll and GM John Spytek feels different than the last several iterations.”
Aside from the obvious overhaul in leadership since Cooper last wore the Silver and Black, the team doesn’t even play in the same city.

When Cooper was drafted 4th overall, it was by the Oakland Raiders. The team has now moved across state lines and plays in Las Vegas.
“There isn’t a glaring need for a receiver in Las Vegas, with All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers, the underrated Jakobi Meyers, field stretcher Tre Tucker, and second-round pick Jack Bech. But it’s an uber-young WR crew. Outside of Meyers, no one in the Raiders WR room has more than two years of experience. A presence like Cooper could add some wisdom and help the transition for Geno Smith.”
Cooper is entering his 11th season, and while he may not be what he once was, he is still a very solid veteran option who could be one of the best 3rd or 4th options in the league.
Last season with Cleveland and Buffalo, he finished with a total of 547 yards on 44 receptions, with 4 touchdowns.
