It’s not a week of sports news if Deion Sanders is not in the cycle. Since he became the Colorado Buffaloes head coach, his name is seemingly everywhere.
This week, it has been less about Colorado and more about the Dallas Cowboys head coaching vacancy. Prime, a legend of some of the best Dallas Cowboys teams, has a great relationship with Owner Jerry Jones.
The two reportedly had a conversation about the opening, and the rumors began flying.
While Colorado fans, must be feeling uneasy, a new report should not only settle their nerves but get them rather excited.
According to Brian Howell, a CU beat writer for Buffzone, Deion Sanders could add NFL Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk to his Colorado staff. Faulk would be the top candidate for the open running backs coach position.
Deion Sanders Eyeing Rams Legend Marshall Faulk

Marshall Faulk has zero coaching experience, but his playing resume speaks for itself. He was also a part of the same 2011 Hall Of Fame Class that included both Deion Sanders and Warren Sapp (Colorado’s defensive line coach).
Faulk played for both the Indianapolis Colts and Rams during his Hall of Fame career, winning Super Bowl XXXIV with the latter during the 1999 season. He finished with 12,279 yards, 100 touchdowns, 4.3 yards per carry, 767 receptions, 6,875 receiving yards, and 36 receiving touchdowns.
Legend.

Coach Prime has created a feel in Boulder similar to what Pete Carroll did during the USC Trojans heyday. A social media frenzy with stars and celebrities abound.
It will be interesting to see how much fire is behind the smoke of Prime going to Dallas. If he does indeed hire Faulk, you would have to think that would cement him in staying with the Buffaloes for at least another season.
