USC Trojans Recruiting Remains Red Hot, Gain Elite Local Commitment

The USC Trojans continue to add to their No. 1-ranked 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of another elite local prospect.

Rancho Santa Margarita wide receiver Trent Mosley has committed to USC. Mosley joins Ja’Myron Baker as the two wide receivers for the Trojans in the 2026 class, but it certainly will not be the last.

Trent Mosley Commits To USC Trojans

The 5’10, 170-pound 4-star local product is the 30th-ranked WR in the country, per On3 Industry Rankings.

He has been a fantastic player at Santa Margarita and was named the Trinity League Player of the Year in 2023 as a sophomore. In that season, he had 81 catches for 1,282 yards and 11 touchdowns. Mosley also rushed for 270 yards and added 15 touchdowns on the ground.

Last season, he missed 4 games due to injury but still finished with 61 catches, 908 yards, and 8 touchdowns. He had 102 yards on the ground and 7 additional touchdowns.

Both of Mosley’s parents attended Notre Dame, so the Fighting Irish were firmly in the mix and will undoubtedly push to flip him all the way to signing day (Chad Bowden leaving ND for USC certainly aids in preventing this). Stanford will also remain in contention as Mosley’s brother plays for the Cardinal.

However, Mosley joins current teammate, EDGE Simote Katoanga, as commitments to the USC Trojans.

The Trojans have the No. 1 2026 Class across every recruiting platform, and this will certainly add to that. Lincoln Riley and Chad Bowden have put a major emphasis on recruiting California, and it has clearly been paying dividends.
