In the Sparks portion of the trade, they receive superstar guard Kelsey Plum from Las Vegas, according to Shams Charania. She now joins Cameron Brink and Rickey Jackson to form the next big trio in the WNBA.

Plum has a decorated resume, to say the least: two WNBA championships, three-time WNBA all-star, and she was the number one pick in the 2017 WNBA draft.

Los Angeles also receives the ninth overall pick in the 2025 draft.

In exchange, they send center Li Yueru and the second overall pick in the 2025 draft to the Seattle Storm. The Sparks also send the 13th overall pick in this year’s draft to the Las Vegas Aces.

The Aces received six-time all-star Jewell Lloyd.

The Sparks finished dead last in the 2024 season with an 8-32 record. The 2025 season is still months away from tipping off, but they are in a much better spot moving forward to compete for a title.
