The USC Trojans have been hitting the recruiting trail hard since the turn of the new year. They visited just about every prominent recruit in the state of California, traveled north up the coast, and since traveled east making it all the way out to SEC country.
This weekend, their efforts will be focused back home as they will be hosting Junior Day with a bevy of high-profile 2026 prospects and recruits.
As it stands, the USC Trojans hold the Number Two ranked 2026 recruiting class, but they will look to add to that this weekend, or at least set themselves firmly in the drivers set for a slew of new commitments.
USC Trojans Set To Host Impressive Junior Day
The list of players visiting is impressive, and it will be a great opportunity for new GM Chad Bowden, and new coaches Chad Savage, Rob Ryan, and Trovon Reed to really get their feet wet in USC recruiting.
Here is a list of the local blue-chip prospects visiting:
- RB Deshonne Redeaux – Four Star – Oaks Christian
- EDGE Simote Katoanga – Four Star – JSerra
- OL Samuela Utu – Four Star – Orange Lutheran
- WR Vance Spafford – Four Star – Mission Viejo (Committed To Georgia)
- WR Trent Mosley – Four Star – Santa Margarita
- WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt – Four Star – Mater Dei
- TE Mark Bowman – Four Star – Mater Dei
- TE Israel Briggs – Four Star – Redwood (Visalia)
- TE Caleb Tafua – Four Star – Lakewood (Committed To Texas A&M)
- CB Davon Benjamin – Four Star – Oaks Christian
- LB Talanoa Ili – Four Star – Lutheran HS
The only out-of-state blue-chip prospect visiting is LB Anthony Davis from Georgia.
This is a very impressive list of new potential commitments, but just as important are the already committed players who are visiting. We all know from the last recruiting cycle how hard it can be to keep a commitment all the way to signing day.
Committed members of the 2026 recruiting class visiting include:
- LB Xavier Griffin – Four Star – Gainesville, Georgia
- CB RJ Sermons – Four Star – Rancho Cucamonga
- CB Brandon Lockhart – Four Star – Loyola
- ATH Joshua Holland – Three Star – St. John Bosco
- ATH Madden Riordan – Three Star – Sierra Canyon
- WR Ja’Myron Baker – Three Star – Sierra Canyon
As you can see, this is a massive opportunity for the USC Trojans and Lincoln Riley. While the 2026 recruiting cycle is still very young, they will have the chance to quickly move from the 2nd ranked class to first.
As stated earlier, GM Chad Bowden should be able to put his recruiting skills on display after only being on the job for a week’s time. Will we get any of the infamous Fight On “bat signals?”
We will continually have updates throughout the weekend.
