The USC Trojans currently have the 2nd-ranked 2026 recruiting class, and at the top of the class is 4-star linebacker Xavier Griffin.
The 6’3, 205-pound linebacker out of Georgia committed to the Trojans all the way back in July of 2024 and has been steadfast in his commitment ever since. But that doesn’t mean that the sharks aren’t circling attempting to get him to flip.
Over this past week, some of the top schools and coaches paid a visit to Griffin in an attempt to pitch him.
Xavier Griffin sent a clear and somewhat hilarious message.
Xavier Griffin Doubles Down On His Commitment To USC Trojans
These visits included Florida State head coach Mike Norvell, Ohio State Linebackers Coach James Laurinaitis, and Clemson Linebackers Coach Ben Boulware.
During these visits, Griffin can be seen rockin’ a USC Trojans shirt.
He even posted the photos that he took with the coaches in his Trojans gear.
Whether or not this was planned, it does send a message that Griffin is still really excited about his commitment to the Trojans. Now it will be up to the USC staff to make sure this commitment lasts all the way to signing day.
Giffin will be on the USC campus this weekend for Junior Day, which will be a huge opportunity for him to meet the new members of the recruiting staff, as well as get to know new Linebackers coach Rob Ryan.
Per On3, Griffin is the Number 2 ranked linebacker in the Nation, and the 24th-ranked overall player.
