USC Trojans have received a significant boost to their backfield, securing a commitment from highly-regarded Hutchinson Community College running back Waymond Jordan.
Jordan, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound running back, previously committed to UCF. However, he has now chosen to join the Trojans, bringing a potent offensive weapon to Lincoln Riley’s roster.

In his final season at Hutchinson, Jordan showcased his impressive talents, rushing for 1,612 yards and 20 touchdowns while also contributing in the passing game with six receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. This commitment represents a significant addition for USC as they continue to build a competitive roster.
Jordan chose USC over other prominent programs such as UCF, North Carolina, and Mississippi State.
Jordan, who redshirted his freshman season, is expected to have either three or four years of eligibility remaining at the FBS level, depending on the NCAA’s interpretation of junior college eligibility rules.
Jordan’s commitment adds to a competitive running back room at USC. The Trojans recently secured a commitment from Eli Sanders, a transfer from New Mexico who rushed for 1,063 yards and nine touchdowns on 147 carries last season.
Returning players include Bryan Jackson and A’Marion Peterson, while true freshmen Riley Wormley and Harry Dalton will also compete for playing time.
While there is plenty of completion in the RB room, there is no clear-cut starter among the current players
Jordan is the eighth transfer addition for the USC Trojans this cycle, joining a group that includes defensive tackle Keeshawn Silver (Kentucky), defensive tackle Jamaal Jarrett (Georgia), running back Eli Sanders (New Mexico), defensive back DJ Harvey (San Jose State), punter Sam Johnson (Valparaiso), kicker Caden Chittenden (UNLV), and offensive lineman DJ Wingfield (Purdue).
