USC Trojans Prized Recruit Jahkeem Stewart Gets All-Pro NFL Comp

The USC Trojans changed their entire 2025 recruiting class when Lincoln Riley, Eric Henderson, and Co. were able to secure Jahkeem Stewart and get him to Los Angeles.

Stewart is a special talent who can completely change the trajectory of the USC Trojans defense, not just the defensive line. When you have a game-wrecker up front, it makes the jobs of everyone behind him easier.

He doesn’t have a lot of high school game tape as he was forced to sit out this past season after transferring to Edna Karr and then reclassified from the 2026 to the 2025 class, but what he has put out there flashes greatness.

He has elite size and strength, a lethal first step, and such violence with his hands that he makes it look easy against some of the most skilled offensive linemen in 1-on-1 drills.

Rivals.com just came out with a list comparing 2025 5-star athletes to NFL standouts. NFL comps are more for fun than an actual projection of a player’s future, but they can give some insight into a player’s skill set and what the possibility is if everything goes right.

USC Trojans Jahkeem Stewart Gets Chris Jones Comp

In the article by Adam Gorney, Jahkeem Stewart gets a comp that should have Trojans fans very excited: Kansas City Chiefs superstar Chris Jones.

Gorney writes: Coming out of Houston, Miss., Chris Jones was a 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive end but he was so dominant and took over events that he landed among the five-stars…We see a similar path for Stewart, the USC signee, as he has a phenomenal frame and one where he can continue to add weight to move across the defensive line. It’s a little concerning that Stewart hasn’t played a lot of high school football after transferring but his talent is there and it could be unleashed once he gets on the field more.”

Chris Jones was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Mississippi State and has since been an All-Pro three times, been selected to the Pro Bowl six times, and won the Super Bowl three times.

If the USC Trojans are to make that next step on defense, it is going to start on the defensive line. They did a great job in the transfer portal adding the likes of Keeshawn Silver and Jamaal Jarrett who add 702 pounds to the middle of the line between the two of them.

The Trojans return some talented young talent in Jide Abasiri, Devan Thompkins, Carlon Jones, and others, but with the skillset and size that Stewart possesses, he will have the ability to get valuable reps as a true freshman.
