DJ Wingfield, a highly-touted offensive lineman from the Purdue Boilermakers, has committed to the USC Trojans, as reported by On3’s Pete Nakos.
Wingfield, a 6-foot-4, 320-pound lineman, will have one season of eligibility remaining at USC. He previously attended El Camino Junior College for two seasons (2020-21) before transferring to Purdue, making him eligible for the NCAA waiver granting an additional year of eligibility.
USC Trojans Add Interior Offensive Lineman DJ Wingfield
The three-star prospect in the 2025 transfer class according to On3’s Industry Rankings, has decided to return to college football and join the Trojans. This decision comes after Wingfield initially declared his intention to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
Wingfield, who started all 11 games at right guard for Purdue this past season, will bring valuable experience to a USC offensive line that has experienced significant attrition. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed 22 pressures last season, the sixth most in the Big 10. With left guard Emmanuel Pregnon entering the transfer portal and both center Jonah Monheim and right tackle Mason Murphy expected to enter the NFL Draft, the Trojans face the challenge of rebuilding their offensive line for the upcoming season.
