Not even a full day after USC Football’s 26-21 loss to the Washington Huskies, Steve Wiltfong of On3 now expects running back Daune Morris will de-commit from the Trojans and join his home state team, the Tennesse Volunteers.
Rivals has Morris ranked as the 10th ranked 2025 running back in the nation.
RB Daune Morris Expected To Decommit From USC Football
The 5-foot-10, 180 pound running back commited to USC football in April of this year and most recently vistied the school in June.
Meanwhile, the 7th ranked Vols hosted Morris to a visit while their team out played the Kentucky Wildcats, to a final score of 28-18 on November 2nd.
“Tennessee is pushing very hard on me,” Morris told On3. “Knowing I’m an in-state kid, it’s a good feeling to be able to get that much love from a school in the home state.”
Tennesse rushed for what must have been an eye-brow raising 186 yards in that game, while USC struggled to get 81 yards on the ground.
The Trojans also have three star running backs Riley Wormley and Harry Dalton III committed for the 2025 season.
As a senior for the Oakland Patriots (Tenn.) in five games, Morris has rushed for 238 yards and five touchdowns. He has also caught six passes 212 yards and two more touchdowns.
