USC Spring Game: Caleb Williams Looks Sharp

Caleb Williams looked very sharp in his lone drive during the USC Spring Game. He finished 2-2 with 55 yards and a touchdown pass to Mario Williams. His first pass was a beautiful 45-yard dart just inside the numbers to Brenden Rice, picking up right where they left on in the Cotton Bowl.

Will Caleb Williams Win The Heisman Again?

It’s obviously early, but will Caleb Williams win the Heisman Trophy again in 2023? Even with losing Jordan Addison and Travis Dye, the USC offense is even more loaded this year, and the WR room is arguably the deepest in the entire country.

If he doesn’t win it again, it might be due to a more balanced attack and a better run game. The Trojans backfield is stacked this year with Austin Jones and Darwin Barlow returning, the emergence of Raleek Brown, incoming transfer MarShawn Lloyd, former St. John Bosco back Matt Colombo, and two very talented freshmen Quentin Joyner and A’Marion Peterson.

The freshmen backs looked especially explosive and dynamic in the USC Spring Game. If the offensive live can continue to improve, and potentially get another body or two when the Transfer Portal opens up again, this offense is going to be even nastier than last year.
