Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported on Tuesday afternoon that four-star wide receiver Romero Ison has committed to USC football. The Trojans extended a scholarship offer on January 25th of this year. Though he received several offers in the interim, he agreed to join the USC roster in 2025. Ison plans to visit the school this summer.
The 6′, 175 lbs Baltimore resident had also received offers from Penn State, Florida, Indiana, and Pitt in addition to nine other schools. He is ranked the 8th-best prospect from Maryland and the 41st-best wide receiver nationally.
USC Football’s Recruiting Class Shaping Up Well
Ison, nicknamed ‘Ro’ is the first receiver and 11th commit of the 2025 USC football class. They are the 3rd ranked class in the nation, and second in the Big Ten.
As a junior at Baltimore City College, Ro caught 69 passes for 1438 yards including a 99-yard catch and 15 touchdowns in 13 games. He added another 465 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He rushed for an impressive 10.1 yards per carry. He is also an experienced punt and kick returner.
