Jakobi Meyers wasn’t exactly all-in on keeping things the same with the Las Vegas Raiders in August. For a time, it appeared the Raiders might find themselves dealing with an in-season holdout. With Geno Smith and Pete Carroll getting ready to put their best foot forward, they needed everyone. They got everyone.
Meyers resolved his differences with the Raiders, but the ceasefire might be ending. Now, little more than a month later, rumors are starting to percolate of a potential move.
Meyers is playing on the final year of his deal, according to Spotrac, and things haven’t been going well for either side.
The Raiders faceplanted after Week 1, and Meyers wasn’t spared in the turn down. He also watched Tre Tucker take the big stat lines, leaving few reasons for the receiver to stick around.
If the Raiders deal him, where could he go? It turns out, there are several NFC teams with a need at wide receiver.
Potential Raiders Trade Partners For Jakobi Meyers
Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons have a young quarterback in his all-important second season, a tough defense, and a star running back in Bijan Robinson. Seemingly, the only thing missing is a beefy receiver room. Adding Jakobi Meyers to the roster would give the team Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Meyers.

It wouldn’t turn the team into a juggernaut overnight, but it would give the team a chance to see the best of what Michael Penix Jr. can offer. If he can’t dominate with seemingly every box checked on the roster, it will be a clear indication that it’s time to move on.
At 2-2, the team is teetering, and Meyers could be the scale-tipper for the offense.
Washington Commanders
Terry McLaurin hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this season. Between a slow start to the year and an ongoing injury problem, the Washington Commanders don’t know what they have in him this season.
However, they do know what Jakobi Meyers can bring to the table. Adding Meyers would be an all-in move to help fill in for McLaurin at first and potentially create a fortified passing offense that runs itself.
Meyers, set to turn 29 years old this season, would most likely be too advanced in his age to contend with the Raiders by the time Pete Carroll bears fruit in rebuilding the team.
Additionally, by placing him in the NFC, the Raiders would essentially remove all chances of the trade coming back to bite them.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have a receiver injury list that is as long as a scroll. With Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall, George Kittle, and two quarterbacks dealing with injuries, the offense is in need of a shot in the arm.
Jakobi Meyers could be essentially a swing receiver in 2025, raising the floor for the unit and ensuring that at least someone can be available every week.

As it stands, everyone could be available for the 49ers any given week, or no one could be available. Adding Meyers takes the “no one” out of the equation.
Then, if the team rounds into good health, they might have a real chance at the first deep playoff run since Purdy’s Super Bowl run.
