Las Vegas Raiders Sign Former Dolphins Pro Bowler To 1-Year Contract

According to a report from Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Las Vegas Raiders have secured running back Raheem Mostert with a one-year contract. Mostert, a 32-year-old veteran, began his NFL journey as an undrafted free agent from Purdue, signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. His early career involved brief stints with several teams, including the Dolphins, Ravens, Browns, Jets, and Bears, before he found a place on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad in 2016.

Raheem Mostert’s NFL career has come full circle, marked by a series of significant connections. It began in 2015 when Chip Kelly, then with the Philadelphia Eagles, recognized his potential and signed him as an undrafted free agent. Kelly’s belief in Mostert continued, leading him to bring the running back to the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. Now, in 2025, that connection is rekindled as Mostert joins the Las Vegas Raiders, where he’ll be part of Pete Carroll’s running back room. This move represents a reunion with Kelly, who is now shaping the Raiders’ new-look roster.

In the 2024 season, Mostert appeared in 13 games for the Dolphins, where he recorded 85 rushing attempts for 278 yards and two touchdowns.
