The Las Vegas Raiders, aiming to bolster their offensive capabilities, are looking to address their wide receiver needs in free agency. With a clear need for additional playmakers to complement Jakobi Meyers and quarterback Geno Smith, the team is exploring available options.
Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton has suggested that the Raiders should consider signing free agent Elijah Moore, formerly of the Cleveland Browns.
Las Vegas Raiders Named Best Fit for WR Elijah Moore

“Elijah Moore is one of the few free agents in his prime with room for growth. He’s played two seasons with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns, teams with suboptimal quarterback situations over the last few years,” Moton wrote. He further added, “On a team with a stable quarterback situation, Moore could see a significant spike in production. He can line up out wide or in the slot and make plays out of the backfield. Because of Moore’s age and versatility, he should be atop the free-agent list for receiver-needy teams looking to capitalize on a player’s upside.”
While Moore’s 2024 season wasn’t exceptional, and he isn’t considered an elite player, his consistent availability since 2022 and his potential for a breakout year in the right environment make him an intriguing prospect. The 25-year-old, a former Ole Miss standout, recorded a career-high 61 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown last season.
Acquiring Moore would be a strategic move for the Raiders, adding much-needed speed to their offense and creating a dynamic trio with Meyers and All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers. Moreover, Spotrac projects that Moore could be signed to a cost-effective one-year deal worth $4.5 million.
Although Moore’s addition wouldn’t entirely resolve the Raiders’ wide receiver issues, general manager John Spytek could secure a team-friendly deal, providing Chip Kelly’s offense with a potentially high-impact player who has yet to reach his full potential and possesses notable speed.
