Las Vegas Raiders set another Top-30 visit.
Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, a highly regarded prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft, has progressed in his recovery and is now healthy enough to participate in workouts for NFL teams.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Johnson, who was sidelined from Michigan’s Pro Day due to a hamstring injury, is scheduled to showcase his abilities for NFL scouts on Monday in Ann Arbor. Following this workout, he will travel to Las Vegas for a pre-draft visit with the Raiders, indicating their potential interest in the talented cornerback.
Prior to this recent hamstring issue, concerns regarding Johnson’s durability had already surfaced among NFL teams due to injuries sustained during the 2024 season, where he missed a significant portion of the year with both a shoulder and a toe injury.
Despite these setbacks, Johnson’s exceptional talent was evident during Michigan’s national championship-winning 2023 season, where he played a pivotal role and earned the Defensive MVP award in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. His performance that year solidified his status as one of the top defensive backs in the draft class.
While Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter is widely projected to be selected before Johnson, the Michigan cornerback is considered by many to be the leading candidate to be the first pure cornerback off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft.
His size, athleticism, and ball skills make him an enticing prospect for teams seeking a shutdown corner. The upcoming workout in Ann Arbor will provide NFL teams with a crucial opportunity to assess Johnson’s current health and athletic abilities firsthand as they finalize their draft boards.
Las Vegas Raiders To Meet With Michigan CB Will Johnson

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler ranks Johnson as the second-best cornerback and 13th best prospect in the 2025 NFL draft class, writing, “After an All-America sophomore season, which included defensive MVP honors in the national championship, Johnson put up-and-down play on his 2024 tape before missing most of his final season due to injuries. Johnson is comfortable in both press and off-coverage, with the fluid athleticism and route recognition to seamlessly transition or attack the football.”
