It may only be Week 2, but the Raiders have a massive matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. They need all hands on deck in order to leave the field with a victory.

Arguably, the player they need the most, and certainly on offense, is 2nd-year phenom Brock Bowers.

Bowers left the Raiders’ Week 1 game against the Patriots with an apparent knee injury. All tests came back negative, but Bowers did not practice all week, leaving his status for Monday in doubt.

However, since the Raiders play the Monday Night game, they get an extra day of practice, and Bowers was seen on the practice field on Saturday.

Brock Bowers Expected To Play For Raiders On Monday Night Against Chargers

Bowers is officially listed as QUESTIONABLE on the injury report, but he is expected to play, barring any setbacks.

This is a huge positive development for the Raiders, as he is the best offensive player they have. Even after leaving last week’s game, he still led the team in receiving with 103 yards on 5 receptions.

Unfortunately, the Raiders are not fully healthy.

Starting right guard, Jackson Powers-Johnson, is dealing with a concussion and has been ruled OUT.

With Powers-Johnson out, Alex Cappa will likely slide in and get the start at guard.

The Chargers do not have the pass rush that they once had, but they are still a formidable unit up front. Teair Tart had a great game last week in the middle against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM PT on ESPN.
