Malik Nabers Fantasy Football Value Makes Big Shift After Latest Updates

The New York Giants and Malik Nabers got a major update, benching Russell Wilson in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart for their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The decision, following a 0-3 start, has implications far beyond the quarterback position — particularly for Fantasy football managers tracking wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, and the team’s emerging backfield.

Dart, 18 percent rostered on CBS Sports, showed promise in the preseason, completing 32-of-47 passes for 372 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions, while also rushing six times for 52 yards and a touchdown. At Ole Miss in 2024, he threw for 4,279 yards with 29 touchdowns and added 495 rushing yards with three scores on the ground.

Fantasy analyst Jake Ciely sees Dart as a QB13-16 option in standard leagues and a priority start in SuperFlex formats.

“There is plenty of risk with a rookie quarterback, but I believe we can expect Drake Maye-2024-like numbers given similar profiles: rushing upside boosts the value… Top 10 upside with a QB20 or lower floor,” Ciely noted.

With left tackle Andrew Thomas returning to the lineup, Dart has added protection to help him make plays while feeding the Giants’ top targets.

Malik Nabers: Reemerging as a Fantasy Must-Start

Nabers’ early-season fantasy production has been uneven. After posting 238 yards and two touchdowns over the first two games, he was held to just 13 yards on seven targets against Kansas City in Week 3. Nevertheless, Dart’s mobility and ability to extend plays could restore Nabers’ consistency, particularly in short-area volume where he excels.

“I still think Nabers is going to be a big defensive target for opposing coordinators, but at least Dart offers more movement and scrambling ability to maybe reach Nabers,” said Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic.

Nabers’ deep-ball usage remains high, but with Dart at quarterback, his elite short-area volume is likely to return — increasing his floor and upside for Fantasy managers, particularly in PPR leagues and dynasty formats.

Supporting Cast and Additional Fantasy Considerations

Wan’Dale Robinson, who had a down Week 3 with just one catch for 26 yards, should continue to see targets with Dart at the helm, though he remains a lower-end starter. Rookie Cam Skattebo, filling in for injured Tyrone Tracy Jr., has emerged as a versatile option in both the running and passing game. Veteran Devin Singletary could also see more work in a complementary role.

While the Giants face a brutal schedule over the next several weeks, the quarterback change provides a renewed sense of optimism. Dart’s dual-threat abilities, combined with Nabers’ proven reliability, suggest that Fantasy managers should prioritize him as a must-start while monitoring the supporting cast for emerging opportunities.
