Los Angeles Rams Actively Discussing Trade Involving All-Pro

Two weeks ago, it looked like the Los Angeles Rams were going nowhere, fast. A 1-4 record didn’t inspire any hope, only fear for what was to come throughout the season. Then, Sean McVay’s team woke up, getting a much-needed win over a Raiders team that’s poised to earn a top-ten pick.

This past Thursday, the Rams got an even bigger win thanks to the return of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. Now, at 3-4, the Rams are once again back in playoff contention, which could make them sudden trade deadline buyers. However, there are also other pieces on the roster that could be traded away too, even a former All-Pro.

One player that the Los Angeles Rams may have on the trade block is cornerback Tre’Davious White. Even though he signed a contract worth up to $10 million in March, the two-time Pro Bowler has been a healthy scratch for each of the past two Rams games, largely thanks to the return of Darious Williams, who had been nursing a hamstring injury.

Yet, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Rams are now “discussing” options for White’s future, in or outside of Los Angeles.

“The Rams and cornerback Tre’Davious White are discussing options for his future, including a potential trade, sources told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The Rams are open to keeping White, knowing things can change over a long season, or could look to move him to a team with a cornerback need.”

Teams can never have too many cornerbacks, especially contenders. Yet, with White no longer having an immediate path to seeing the field in L.A., it only makes sense to see what other teams may be willing to pay for the former star cornerback.
