Rams Make Official Rob Havenstein, Omar Speights Decision Ahead of Ravens Game

The Los Angeles Rams will be without several key contributors when they take the field Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium (10 a.m. PT, FOX).

Head coach Sean McVay confirmed that wide receiver Tutu Atwell, quarterback Stetson Bennett IV, inside linebacker Omar Speights, offensive lineman Beaux Limmer, right tackle Rob Havenstein, tight end Colby Parkinson, and defensive end Desjuan Johnson have all been ruled inactive for the game.

Havenstein (ankle) was previously listed as doubtful, and McVay said before Friday’s practice it was “unlikely” he would play. His absence means Warren McClendon Jr. will once again get the start at right tackle.

“He won’t,” McVay said on Friday when asked about Havenstein’s status. “He’s doing rehab and all those types of things. You say doubtful, but it’s very unlikely that he’ll be ready to go.”

McVay praised McClendon’s progress and the mentorship Havenstein has provided.

“I think Warren has done a great job of really putting the work in,” McVay said. “He’s ascending into a good football player and has earned the right to be confident because of the work he’s putting in.”

Meanwhile, Parkinson — who cleared the concussion protocol earlier in the week — will remain sidelined as the team opts for caution. Atwell’s hamstring injury, which he suffered during Thursday’s practice, also keeps him out after initial optimism about his recovery.

“Tutu [Atwell] felt a little something in his hamstring,” McVay said. “The initial reports were good, but you can’t be too careful with a soft tissue injury like that.”

Speights (ankle) and rookie lineman Beaux Limmer will also be unavailable, while Johnson joins the inactive list to round out the Rams’ scratches.

On the other side, the Ravens will be missing Lamar Jackson (hamstring) and Roquan Smith (hamstring) among six players ruled out. Zay Flowers (shoulder) is listed as questionable.

Despite being shorthanded, the Rams are confident in their depth — particularly across the offensive line and defensive front — as they prepare for a tough road test in Baltimore.
