The Los Angeles Rams recently lost to their NFC West division rival San Francisco 49ers 26-23 in an overtime game that was one for their storied journey. Now they’re in 3rd place behind the Seattle Seahawks. The Rams put up a good fight, but that didn’t come with its fair share of negative news.

Rams LB Omar Speights Sidelined With High Ankle Sprain

In addition to that, Linebacker Omar Speights is injured as well. According to Adam Grosbard of LA Daily News and the Orange County Register, Head Coach Sean McVay stated that Speights suffered a high ankle sprain against San Francisco, and the possibility of him playing is seemingly unlikely.

With Speights’ status uncertain for their game at Baltimore, 7th year linebacker Troy Reeder could get the start or could be on the field a considerable amount on defense.

In five games this season, Reeder has 6 combined tackles. He’s been an LA Ram for 6 seasons and an LA Charger for 1. Throughout his career up to this point, Reeder has obtained 316 Total Tackles, 5 Sacks and 2 interceptions. Reeder brings a veteran presence to the linebacker room and his experience and skill set could keep the defense rolling.

Multiple players were injured in their defeat vs the 49ers last week, as it was reported by ESPN that Tyler Higbee (hip) is also recovering and expected to be monitored this week, the Rams may lean heavily on Davis Allen and rookie Terrance Ferguson at tight end. Offensive lineman Rob Havenstein (ankle) is likewise making strides toward playing vs. the Ravens
