During the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 3 clash against the Philadelphia Eagles, starting guard Kevin Dotson left the game due to cramps and is questionable to return. Dotson’s exit came in the 4th quarter, forcing a quick shuffle along the offensive line.
Steve Avila, who had already been out with an ankle issue with Justin Dedich starting in his place. Beaux Limmer slid in to right guard to fill Dotson’s spot.

Head coach Sean McVay provided a quote after Dotson was injured in week 1:
“Kevin Dotson had a lateral ankle sprain. He’ll be week-to-week. Steve also had an ankle sprain… Steve did an amazing job of coming in to be able to finish the game.”
Dotson’s absence is a concern for the Rams’ offensive rhythm, impacting both pass protection and the run game. Philadelphia’s defensive front will likely try to exploit the reshuffled line, putting extra pressure on quarterback Matthew Stafford and the backfield.
McVay noted that the status of both Dotson and Avila will be monitored closely over the next 24–48 hours, with a clearer picture expected later in the week regarding their practice availability and projected workload.
For now, the Rams rely on their backups to stabilize the line and keep drives moving against a tough Eagles defense.
