The Los Angeles Rams will be taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football this week. The Rams are going into the game with a 3-1 record and a big win over the Indianapolis Colts, and the 49ers are also 3-1 but off a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. San Francisco is #1 in the NFC West while the Rams are 3rd behind the Seattle Seahawks.
The Rams’ Injury Report for this week has been updated, and in this article, it will be broken down and explained what it means for the team.
Rams Injury Report:

The Rams that are listed on the Week 5 Injury Report are Tight End Tyler Higbee with a Hip injury, and he did not participate in Monday’s practice, while Tight End Colby Parkinson has a shoulder injury but was a full participant.
In addition to the offensive side of the ball, Left Guard Steve Avila is still dealing with an ankle that kept him sidelined for 2 games, but was a full participant in Monday’s practice, although Left Tackle Rob Havenstein did not participate and is dealing with an ankle as well.
The Rams’ defense is seemingly healthy with only one player on the Injury Report in Safety Kamren Kinchens, who has a shoulder injury but was limited in practice.
The 49ers have 12 players listed on the Injury Report. Some of whom include quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Mac Jones, Defensive End Yetur Gross-Matos, Wide Receivers Ricky Pearsall and Jauan Jennings, and others.
What this means for the Rams

With Tyler Higbee dealing with a hip injury and being a non-participant in practice, there’s a chance that Colby Parkinson gets more snaps, and his production may increase. Quarterback Matthew Stafford frequently throws to the Tight Ends, so that may be something to note. The good news is that Left Guard Steve Avila is back and can sure up the offensive line if he starts Thursday, but if he doesn’t, they still have depth. Rob Havenstein didn’t practice on Monday, so they may be looking to make sure that the Left Tackle spot is secure.
Free Safety Kamren Kinchens’ shoulder injury may not be a big deal due to him being a limited participant in practice, but it’s something to pay attention to in the secondary. 2nd string Strong Safety Jaylen McCollough may start if Kinchens can’t go. But if he can, McCollough could still potentially be on the field for some plays on defense.
