Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Davante Adams did not participate in Monday’s walkthrough as the team continues to monitor a hamstring injury he suffered during Sunday’s 41-34 win over the Detroit Lions. Nate Atkins reported that Adams “will not practice during today’s walkthrough,” though the team is not ruling him—or anyone else—out for Thursday night’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Adams, who had been managing a mild hamstring issue over the past several weeks, appeared to aggravate it on a deep route with 12:42 remaining in Sunday’s game. The veteran receiver pulled up near the end of his route and fell to the turf, lying face down—a stark signal of the injury’s severity. Despite the scare, he was able to walk off the field under his own power.
Ian Rapoport previously reported that Adams is considered week-to-week, describing the injury as “simply an aggravation of what he was previously dealing with, not a new injury.” The timing puts his availability for the critical Thursday matchup against the Seahawks in doubt.

Performance for the Rams Before the Injury

Before leaving the game, Adams had tallied 71 yards on four receptions, reinforcing his role as one of quarterback Matthew Stafford’s top targets. He leads the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns and entered Week 15 with 56 catches for 718 yards, trailing only Puka Nacua on the team in both categories.
Rams head coach Sean McVay praised Adams’ toughness while emphasizing caution. “He’s as tough as it gets,” McVay said. “I want to see what it looks like with the time we have.” He added that while Thursday may come too soon, the team will continue evaluating the situation before making a final call.
Stafford echoed the sentiment, highlighting the importance of teammates stepping up. “That’ll be a tough one. Didn’t look like it was a good one, so I feel so tough for him. He’s been a warrior for us all year,” Stafford said. “We’ll see. I got a lot of faith and trust in the other guys that we have in our locker room and our coaching staff to put us in a great position to go out there, let our play do the talking, and just go play.”

Looking Ahead
The Rams, currently the top seed in the NFC West, have three regular-season games remaining: Thursday against Seattle, followed by matchups with Atlanta and Arizona. Rapoport noted that “the hope” is that Adams will return for the playoffs, though his availability in the final stretch remains uncertain.
If Los Angeles can secure wins without Adams, the team could prioritize resting him in the last two regular-season games, potentially earning a first-round bye and giving their star receiver four weeks to recover before the divisional round.
