Los Angeles Rams Sign WR Britain Covey To 1-Year Deal

Covey joins the Rams after spending the 2022-2024 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played in 17 games as a rookie, 16 games in 2023, and five games in 2024. He also appeared in four postseason games for Philadelphia, earning a Super Bowl ring with the team. In his time with the Eagles, Covey recorded 11 catches for 76 yards, and averaged 11.6 yards per punt return and 21.5 yards per kickoff return.

A key aspect of Covey’s skill set is his punt-returning ability. The 5-foot-8 Covey led the NFL in punt return yardage in 2023, with 417 yards, and was named a Pro Bowl alternate for that season.

Covey was considered an under-recruited prospect out of high school. He received three offers from in-state programs: Utah State, BYU, and Utah, ultimately choosing to play for the University of Utah in the Pac-12 Conference.

The Rams anticipate that Covey will enhance their special teams unit.
