While Reeder brings six years of NFL experience and has been a steady contributor, his limitations have been noted, particularly his difficulty shedding blockers. During a scrimmage against Dallas last season, Reeder was neutralized on a key run play, a moment reflective of a recurring issue that has hampered his effectiveness at the next level.
Dolac, meanwhile, was one of the most productive defenders in the MAC during his final season at Buffalo, leading the conference in solo tackles (82), assisted tackles (86), tackles for loss (19), and interceptions (5). Despite lacking prototypical NFL size and speed, his instincts and playmaking ability make him a compelling option for Sean McVay’s linebacker room.
Dolac did not play in Week 3 of the preseason, which could be a strategic decision for rest or evaluation, but it also adds intrigue to the depth chart battle. With the Rams carrying seven players competing for four inside linebacker slots, decisions will be tough.
