Los Angeles Rams OL Suffers Another Blow On Latest Injury Report

The Los Angeles Rams are gearing up for a clash against the Philadelphia Eagles, and they may have to do so without their starting left guard, Steve Avila.

Avila came out of the Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans with an ankle injury, and he did not play last week against the Tennessee Titans. He has not practiced at all this week, and on the Rams’ latest injury report, he was listed as DOUBTFUL.

If he does not play again, it will likely be Justin Dedich to get the start at left guard. Dedich had a 66.4 overall grade for the game, per PFF, but struggled in pass protection, where he posted a 36.4 grade.

If the Rams decide to try someone else as a spot starter, we could see Beaux Limmer or veteran David Quessenberry.

Tight end Colby Parkinson and defensive lineman Braden Fiske are also on the final injury report, and both are listed as QUESTIONABLE.

Head Coach Sean McVay told the media, “I think the expectations are we’re hopeful that he’ll (Fiske) be ready to go. Same thing with Colby, and then it’s a little bit less likely with Steve, but we’ll leave the options open.”

If Fiske is unable to go, we will see a combination of Larrell Murchinson, Tyler Davis, and Ty Hamilton. Davis led the group in Week 2 with 30 snaps, while Murchison and Hamilton each logged 14 snaps.

With Parkinson at risk of missing his second straight game, we could see rookie Terrance Ferguson ramp up his usage. He did not play in Week 1 and only logged 4 snaps last week. Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen have the lion’s share of the snaps, but could Week 3 be the week we see the Rams’ top draft pick garner his first catch?

We will provide any new Los Angeles Rams injury updates ahead of Sunday’s kickoff.
