Los Angeles Rams Fans React To New ‘Rivals’ Uniform Drop

The Los Angeles Rams unveiled their new Rivalries uniform, the near-black “Midnight Mode” kit with matte helmet and Sol yellow horns, set to debut at SoFi Stadium on Nov 16 against the Seattle Seahawks. The alternate drops Sept 10 for fans to buy, and it is the team’s first new uniform since 2021.

The Rams chose a darker, more deliberate look for the NFL Rivalries program, trading the usual royal blue and Bone palette for a near-black dark blue base the team calls Midnight.

Nike and the Los Angeles Rams leaned into place and purpose, adding royal blue accents on the shoulders and pants to keep the club’s visual DNA. The larger horns on the sleeves were adjusted, bringing it back to the fan favorite throwback uniform. The helmet goes matte, the horn Sol yellow, and the white numbers feature tiny perforations meant to echo the texture of the SoFi Stadium roof.

Los Angeles Rams Release ‘Rivals’ Uniform

This is not a season-long alternate; it is a single-game statement. The Rivalries program gives teams a special kit to wear once a year for three seasons, and the Rams will pull this one out for their Nov 16 home game with Seattle.

Inside the collar, the jersey reads “Rams House,” a small touch that ties the uniform to the city and the locker room.

The campaign line, “Work in the dark, Earn the spotlight,” frames it as a city connect of sorts, to all the hard-working people of Los Angeles.

Nike and the Los Angeles Rams backed the launch with a sizzle reel and a full photo set, and the team plans to sell the Midnight jerseys beginning Sept 10. Expect the visual to pop under stadium lights, where the matte finishes and perforated details should read well on TV.

Reactions have been split; fans have either embraced the aggressive look or pushed back on the darkness, but the point is this gives the Los Angeles Rams a focused visual to hang on to when divisional games matter most.

The Rivalries rollout covers eight teams this year, NFC West and AFC East clubs, with more divisions joining over the next two seasons.
