New 3-Round Mock Draft Sticks Los Angeles Rams With 1st Round OL And 3rd Round TE

The Los Angeles Rams are well-positioned heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. After a lean but specific free agency, the Rams can focus on addressing the team’s future needs rather than eagerly filling gaping roster holes.

In The Athletic’s new 3-round mock draft, they look to the future to fill the impending needs along the offensive line and at tight end.

26. Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon

“Consistency is lacking, but Conerly’s still a young prospect with elite athletic traits and equally exciting flashes. His potential fit inside an offense that needs run blockers capable of being dangerous on the move and in space could be terrific.”

With Alaric Jackson earning a contract extension this offseason, getting Conerly would seem to be a play for the right side, as right tackle Rob Havenstein is on the last year of his contract, and Kevin Dotson has two years left. The main issue here is that Conerly has almost exclusively played left tackle for Oregon.

Health concerns have also cropped up along all positions on the line. With Joe Noteboom gone, the Rams need backup.

90. Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler ranked Fannin as the 6th best TE and the 86th overall prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, writing, “In an offense designed to weaponize its tight end, Fannin transitioned from high school safety to college tight end and in 2024 had arguably the greatest tight end season in FBS history. He set the position’s single-season records for catches (117) and receiving yards (1,555). Fannin catches everything and shows a unique feel for creating as a ball carrier.”

The Rams also need to look to a future without Tyler Higbee. Not only is he on the wrong side of 30, but he is coming off a nearly year-long recovery from a torn MCL and ACL. Higbee is also on the final year of his contract.
