Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp made NFL history in his 100th career game on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
The 31-year-old hauled in three passes to give him a record-setting 625 receptions on his career, surpassing wide receiver Keenan Allen for the most receptions through a player’s first 100 games.
Cooper Kupp’s Legacy Continues To Rise

Despite rewriting history, Kupp’s record flew under the radar as he didn’t find out about his milestone until he reached the locker room. Head coach Sean McVay was also “disappointed” that he couldn’t congratulate his wideout in the moment, but eventually saluted his star player.
“He’s a special player,” McVay said (h/t ESPN’s Sarah Barshop). “He’s a more special person. His work ethic, everything that he’s about is the right kind of stuff, and really happy for him and really disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to recognize that in real time.”
When healthy, Cooper Kupp has been a premier player and has showcased what havoc he can cause when he’s available. The last time Kupp played a full season was in 2021 when he posted one of the best wide receiver seasons of all time with 145 receptions, 1,947 yards, and 16 touchdowns en route to the Triple Crown throne and Super Bowl MVP.

The eight-year homegrown talent out of Eastern Washington has been one the biggest beneficiaries of the arrival of quarterback Matthew Stafford and has been the safety blanket to the Rams offense for years.
After Sunday’s game, Kupp spoke about his NFL record and remained selfless, giving credit to his team for his success.
“It’s a cool thing to have been a part of an organization that’s put me in positions to go do that,” Kupp said. “At the end of the day, we’re all asked just to do your job, whatever that is that you’re asked. … You got to be able to play around a lot of really good football players, part of a lot of good coaches, and I’m just thankful for the people I’ve been able to play this game with.”
In his career, Kupp now has 625 receptions, 7,631 yards, and 56 touchdowns and is ranked fourth in receiving yards and third in catches and touchdowns in Rams history.
As long as the technical receiver remains in town, he will surely find himself at the top of multiple lists.
