The Los Angeles Rams will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC Showdown on Sunday. LA is currently 8-2 and one of the best teams in the NFL, recently defeating the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, 21-29.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been putting on a show, throwing 2,557 yards and 27 touchdowns to only 2 interceptions, leading the Rams to 1st place in the NFC West.
On the flip side, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a Week 32-44 Week 11 loss to the Buffalo Bills, but it was a hard-fought game, and the Buccaneers played well.
Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield was once an LA Ram way back in 2022, where he stepped in for their Week 14 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he had 230 pass yards and a touchdown, which led to him reviving his career. Mayfield will get to see some familiar faces, like Rams’ head coach Sean McVay. It should be an exciting matchup.
In this article, 5 Bold Predictions will be broken down.
Matthew Stafford Throws For 245+ yards
The Bucs secondary will be without cornerback Jamel Dean. With the Bucs’ defensive back group shorthanded, that opens the door for Rams’ quarterback Matthew Stafford to have a productive game through the air.

Stafford will throw for 245+ yards and at least 2 touchdowns. He’s been a bit inconsistent the last few games, but Stafford is an MVP candidate, and he’ll showcase why on Sunday.
Sean Tucker Will Have 120 Yards And A Touchdown
Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker surprised some people against the Buffalo Bills in Week 11, where he rushed for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries. Some people wondered where in the world this Tucker guy came from.
He had a great game, and with the injury to Bucky Irving, Tucker will see an uptick in carries.
Baker Mayfield Outduels Stafford
Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will enter this game with the well-renowned chip on his shoulder. Tampa Bay is on a two-game losing streak, and Mayfield will want to get them back on track. What better way to do so than to go into SoFi Stadium and beat his former team?

There might not be any hard feelings, but Mayfield is a supreme competitor and will look to let the NFL world know that he’s still a top player. Mayfield will outduel Stafford and throw for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Puka’s Back
Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua started this season on fire, leading the NFL in receptions at one point, but since his ankle injury in Week 6, things have slowed down a bit for Nacua. However, he did have 7 catches for 75 yards against the Seahawks last week.
This time around, Nacua will have 10 catches for 110 and a touchdown.
Los Angeles Rams Sack Mayfield 4 Times
The Bucs’ offensive line is dealing with some injuries, such as guard Ben Bredeson is out for Sunday’s game, and tackle Tristan Wirfs is questionable but was a full participant in Friday’s practice, per the Bucs team reporter Brianna Dix.
The Rams’ front seven is elite and will get after Mayfield, sacking him four times.
It’ll be a good game, but the Los Angeles Rams will defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-27
