With injuries decimating the Los Angeles Chargers’ running back room, they’ve been forced to turn to practice-squad call-up Kimani Vidal and special-teams player Hassan Haskins.
While Vidal has a career game against the Dolphins (18 Att, 124 yards, 3 Rec, 14 yards, and 1 TD), the Chargers have made it known that they’re in the market to add another RB to the roster.
A solution to this may have just been solved by the Philadelphia Eagles, who just waived RB Audric Estime from their practice squad.

Los Angeles Chargers Solution At RB

The former Fighting Irish ball-carrier was selected in the fifth round (147th Overall) just last year by the Denver Broncos, but was unable to make a crowded RB room that featured second-round rookie RJ Harvey and fan favorite J.K. Dobbins.
After preseason cuts, he ended up signing on to the Eagles’ practice squad, where he’s remained until now.
While he isn’t the most athletic player, recording a 6.56 RAS (Relative Athletic Score), the 5’11”, 227 lb back brings a physical style of running that the Chargers are currently lacking on their roster.
In the limited action he saw in his rookie season, he carried the ball 76 times for 310 yards and 2 TDs, for a healthy 4.1 yards per attempt, showing what he could potentially be if given a larger feature role.

Chargers Front Office Moves
If there’s one thing to be sure of, general manager Joe Hortiz will scour the entire league and exhaust all options to help improve this roster.
Hopefully, Los Angeles can sign Estime to the active roster or practice squad, using the opportunity he would see on the field as the primary selling point.
The skillsets he brings could match well with Vidal’s as the team continues to navigate through a season marred by injuries.
