Los Angeles Chargers Secure Another Low Cost Defensive Lineman

The Los Angeles Chargers have added defensive lineman Naquan Jones (6 foot 3, 313 pounds) to their roster, as announced by his agent. This move is part of the Chargers’ ongoing efforts to strengthen their defensive tackle position, and Jones will be given the opportunity to compete for a spot in the rotation.

Jones, 27, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent from Michigan State in April 2021, subsequently signing a rookie contract with the Tennessee Titans. Although the Titans initially waived Jones after the preseason, they quickly re-signed him to their practice squad and later promoted him to the active roster.

In 2023, the Titans re-signed Jones as an exclusive rights free agent, but he was waived in November. He then joined the Arizona Cardinals. In 2024, the Cardinals released him following the preseason, and he briefly signed with the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad before returning to the Cardinals’ active roster.
