Chargers Injury Update: How Long Will Omarion Hampton Be Out?

Hampton suffered an ankle injury on the previous drive, forcing him to miss the remainder of the game. However, as Daniel Popper reported, Hampton could miss additional time as he emerged from the locker room in a walking boot on his left foot.

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton Expected To Miss Sometime, Severity Still Unknown

The Chargers cannot afford any more injuries at running back, as they already lost running back Najee Harris for the season with a torn Achilles tendon. If Hampton cannot go for next Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, 3rd and 4th string running backs Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal would assume the rushing duties. After starting the season off 3-0, injuries to the Chargers’ offensive line have proven insurmountable as they fell to 3-2 on the year. Next Sunday’s game against the Dolphins is suddenly a must-win game as the Broncos and Chiefs are beginning to surge in the race for the AFC West title.
