There may not be a more pressing need for the Los Angeles Chargers than finding a true pass-catching threat at tight end. Many point to the draft and its many options at the position — the most popular being Michigan’s Colston Loveland.
But in a new trade idea, The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec believes the Baltimore Ravens would consider trading tight end Mark Andrews for proper compensation, especially if that means they have the money to retain Ronnie Stanley
“My read is that they are keeping their options open,” ZrebiecĀ posted on X. “And if other teams call about Andrews, they are going to certainly listen and could be compelled to deal him for the right offer. But I’d still be surprised if they move on without legit trade offer.”
Mark Andrews to the Los Angeles Chargers?

Who better to trade with than your very own brother?
Also, a potential reunion between Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman and Andrews makes it all the more enticing. Roman, who previously served as the Baltimore Ravens’ play-caller, oversaw Andrews’ rise to prominence, during which the tight end earned three Pro Bowl selections. This existing rapport could prove beneficial as the Chargers look to bolster their offensive arsenal.
The Chargers are in search of a reliable pass-catching option to complement rookie receiver Ladd McConkey. The team’s receiving corps lacked consistency last season, with no other player surpassing 55 receptions. Tight end Will Dissly played a significant role in the offense, recording 50 catches for 481 yards and two touchdowns. While Dissly provided a steady presence, Mark Andrews would represent a substantial upgrade, offering a dynamic and proven target for the Chargers offense.
