The Los Angeles Chargers were dealt an unfortunate turn in a game that was going well. Up 10-3, the Chargers star suffered a clear injury that forced him off the field. Here’s what we know.
Mack twisted his arm at an awkward angle in the final play of the first quarter. Immediately, he knew something was wrong, grabbing what appeared to be his left wrist. He managed to get off the field under his own power. He was placed on a cart to be taken immediately for imaging, suggesting that there is fear that the injury is serious.
Shortly before the half, the broadcast announced Mack was ‘Questionable’ to return. Shortly after the announcement, Mack was seen on the sidelines out of his game jersey and his left arm in a shoulder sling.
Khalil Mack’s Exit Leaves Additional Pressure On teammates

Is Jim Harbaugh The Real Life Ted Lasso?
Mack had logged a sack already on Geno Smith in the contest. Age 34, Mack is playing on a one-year, $18 million deal. If he receives bad news, his contract is already essentially over. While it could be some time before the full extent of his injury is known, it doesn’t appear to be boding well heading into future weeks, even if he can return in short order.
Without Khalil Mack, it will fall on players like Bud Dupree, Teair Tart, Da’Shawn Hand, Tuli Tuipulotu, and others to step up. It will also fall that much more on the offense to pick up the slack. Otito Ogbonnia and rookie edge rusher Kyle Kennard are both unavailable to play for this game.
The situation is rapidly developing.
