Just moments after it was reported that Los Angeles Chargers starting running back Najee Harris suffered minor injuries from a 4th of July firework explosion, another tidbit of interesting news exploded onto the scene.
Jonah Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner reported that Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, along with his brother and Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh Meets With President Trump
Per Shaffer, “Details of the meeting were unavailable. Jensen Huang, the CEO of technology company Nvidia, also visited the West Wing on Thursday afternoon, according to a White House pool report.”
A Los Angeles Chargers team spokesman told USA TODAY Sports that the White House invited the Harbaugh family.
While the nature of this visit is unknown, it will certainly make some waves as anything involving the President tends to be extremely polarizing these days.
The Chargers kick off training camp in just a week, thanks to playing the Hall of Fame game one week before the 30 other NFL teams. I’m sure there will be plenty of questions for Harbaugh surrounding his visit, and as only Harbaugh can do, his answer will likely be epic.
