The Los Angeles Chargers have just announced their final injury report for their Week 6 matchup against the Miami Dolphins, and it is daunting.
The offensive line is decimated, and there is a litany of other players on the report.
Los Angeles Chargers Injury Report
OUT
WR | Derius Davis (Knee)
OT | Joe Alt (Ankle)
Alt will miss his second straight game due to a lingering high ankle sprain, suffered against the Giants in Week 4. The hope is for him to return in the two weeks or so, as backup left tackle Austin Deculus has shown to be a subpar blocker thus far.
OT | Trey Pipkins III (Knee)
The offensive line will also be without starting right tackle Trey Pipkins III, who’s been dealing with injuries all the past few games. Taking his place will likely be OT Foster Sarell, who’s serviceable at best, or Bobby Hart, who signed with the Chargers practice squad last week.
With all the injuries, this could be the Chargers’ starting O-line on Sunday. Is this the weakest group of Herbert’s career? #BoltUp #Chargers #NFL #JustinHerbert #LAFB pic.twitter.com/FM4pZ0WZMQ

DL | Da’Shawn Hand (Groin)
Hand exited midway through the game last week, and evidently had a severe enough injury to knock him out of a potential revenge game against the Dolphins, whom he played for the past two seasons.
QUESTIONABLE
FB/DL | Scott Matlock (Ankle)
WR | Quentin Johnston (Hamstring)
OL | Jamaree Salyer (Knee)
LB | Denzel Perryman (Ankle)
OLB | Bud Dupree (Hamstring)
All the players here will likely be a full-go on Sunday, though the status of Denzel Perryman is one to monitor.
Still officially on the short-term IR list, he’s been designated to return to the active roster; however, it remains to be seen what the Chargers decide to do.
However, it’s an encouraging sign to see him log two full practices so far this week as he returns from a high ankle sprain injury.
Hopefully, the veteran defender and captain can bring some much-needed juice to this team that’s been maligned by injuries all across the roster, and elevate their level of play in a much-needed win that can get this team back on track to a Lombardi trophy.
