The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to terms with Derwin James Jr., making him the highest-paid safety in the NFL.

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the two sides agreed to a 3-year $75.6 million contract extension that keeps him the All-Pro safety in Los Angeles until 2030. The contract fully guarantees $57.5 million and has an average annual valuation of $25.2 each season.
