The Los Angeles Chargers have made several moves ahead of their Week 6 contest against the Miami Dolphins, so let’s dive right into it.
Los Angeles Chargers Practice Squad Elevations
RB – Nyheim Miller-Hines
The Chargers decided to bring Miller-Hines back onto the practice squad earlier this week, given the injuries to the position group.
His familiarity with the offense, having spent a large portion of the offseason with them, was a key factor in this decision.
The former fourth-round pick back in 2018 by the Colts also offers ability on special teams to return kickoffs and punts. It’s an area the Chargers are looking to improve on with primary returner Derius Davis ruled out for the third consecutive game.
OT – David Sharpe
Sharpe will be elevated for the first time this season, after signing with the team in late August. He’ll provide more depth on the offensive line if he ends up suiting up, though ideally, you want him to be on the sidelines.

Active Roster Signing

Is Jim Harbaugh The Real Life Ted Lasso?
OT – Bobby Hart
The nine-year veteran was signed onto the 53-man active roster, bringing plenty of experience with him.
With 67 starts under his belt, primarily at right tackle, he’ll be another depth piece on this offensive line and be a serviceable blocker if called upon.
Yet Another Injury Casualty
DL – Da’Shawn Hand
The Chargers lose yet another impact starter in defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand, who ironically was a free agent signing via the Miami Dolphins. So far this season, he’s already had 10 tackles, 3 TFLs, 1 sack, and 1 PD.
He suffered a groin injury midway through the game in Week 5 against the Washington Commanders and was unable to return.
He’ll be placed on short-term IR, meaning he’ll miss at least the next four games before being eligible to return to the roster.
