Free agency is officially underway, and the 2025 NFL league year has kicked off for the Los Angeles Chargers. So far, it has been pretty quiet for the Chargers. The biggest area of need is in the wide receiver room, but the Bolts have stayed out of the action so far.

Their cross-town rival, the Los Angeles Rams, signed Davante Adams yesterday. Could the Chargers be in play for Cooper Kupp?

In-House Transactions

  • Cut DE Joey Bosa

The Chargers parted ways with stalwart Joey Bosa, saving them roughly $25.36 million in cap space

  • Cut RB Gus Edwards

The Chargers cut running back Gus Edwards. JK Dobbins is a free agent, but this would signal that they are trying to get a deal done to bring him back.

  • Re-sign EDGE Khalil Mack

The Los Angeles Chargers re-signed EDGE Khalil Mack to a one-year deal worth $18 million, fully guaranteed.

  • Re-signed Punter JK Scott

Punter JK Scott signed a two-year deal to remain with the Chargers. The deal is worth $6 million, with $3.125 million guaranteed

  • Contract Extension With Center Bradley Bozeman

The terms have not yet been disclosed, but it is a multi-year contract extension for Bozeman.

  • Re-sign DL Teair Tart

The Chargers and Teair Tart agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million.

  • Re-sign LB Troy Dye

2-year, $5.5 million deal with a chance to get to $8.5 million.

  • Re-sign WR Jalen Reagor

Contract details have yet to be disclosed. Reagor signed a one-year $1.125 million contract with the Chargers in 2024

Out-Of-House Transactions

  • Sign CB Donte Jackson

The Chargers signed former Pittsburgh Steelers CB Donte Jackson to a two-year, $13 million contract. More information here.

  • Sign RB Najee Harris

Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris signed a one-year deal worth $9.5 million with the Chargers. This signals the potential end of JK Dobbins with LA, as he will likely sign elsewhere.

  • Sign CB Benjamin St-Juste

After spending his whole career with the Washington Commanders, St-Juste signed a one-year contract with the Chargers. He has primarily been an outside corner.

  • Sign WR Mike Williams

After spending half the season with the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike Williams is back with the Chargers. He signed a one-year, $6 million contract.

  • Sign DT Da’Shawn Hand

After being somewhat of a journeyman, Hand signed a one-year deal worth $3.35 million with the Bolts.

  • Sign NT Naquon Jones

Jones spent time with the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals before joining the Chargers.
